Bridging the gap between great ideas and professional, release-ready records.

Fifteen years in, still finishing records for major artists — and I keep seeing the same thing: talented people, strong ideas, years of work, yet records that never get finished.
It's rarely talent. It's knowing what to focus on next. I help artists find what's holding a record back, cut the noise, and finish with confidence.

Jon Kong is a producer, songwriter, mix engineer and artist developer with more than 15 years across underground and commercial electronic music — contributing to records generating over 500 million streams, and collaborating with some of the industry's most respected artists and labels.
Three ways forward — depending on how much you want to do yourself, and how much you want me in the room.
My complete production system as a structured course, on your own time.
Direct, personal guidance on your music — the only way to work with me one-to-one.
Hand it over for release-ready sonics — mixed and mastered through Dead Quiet.
Two ways to work with me one-to-one — long-term Artist Development, or focused help to finish a single record with Track Development. Both are direct, personal, and strictly by application, so the focus stays high.
Ongoing, personal guidance to develop you as an artist — finish stronger records, build consistency and grow a real career.

Explore Track Development →Long-term, personal 1:1 guidance — the closest thing to having me in the studio with you, developing your sound, your records and your career.
My ears, my experience and an honest read on your music every week — what's working, what's not, and exactly what to do next.
Intermediate to advanced producers who know their music could be stronger — and want real guidance and accountability.
Beginners, hobbyists, or anyone after shortcuts. This is for committed artists.
Every tier includes a weekly feedback session and a monthly planning session to set and reassess your goals. What changes is how many passes I do on your music — and, at 12 months, working with me live as the decisions happen. Every place is by application.
Application required · limited intake
Yes — this is for intermediate to advanced producers. You should be comfortable in your DAW, with finished or near-finished ideas you want to take further.
Your weekly feedback and monthly planning sessions run over video, wherever you're based. On the 12-month tier we also work together live — you're online with me in real time as I make the decisions.
This is hands-on. You'll get the most from it by dedicating real weekly time to your music between sessions — it's built for committed artists.
Start with where you are now. The longer we work together, the deeper the scope; we'll find the right fit together on your call.
I read every application personally and reply to those that are a fit to arrange a call — no obligation, just a conversation about your music and goals.
Tell me about you and your music. I read every application personally and reply to those that are a fit to arrange a call.
For producers with great ideas that aren't quite landing. I take your existing track — strong musically, but let down by execution — develop it to a professional level, then show you exactly how I did it.
Great songs — strong melodies, real ideas — let down by execution: sound choices, arrangement, sonics. I take those tracks and bring them to life, so they finally sound as good as the idea. A lot of it goes on to get signed.
You'll get your track to a high demo level — good enough to send to labels, play out in clubs and pass to DJs, sitting around 90–95% of a finished record. When it gets signed or you want it fully release-ready, the final mix & master is handled through Dead Quiet.
Hands-on help with an existing, finished idea — less structured, focused on one record at a time.
Long-term 1:1 where we build records from scratch together — more structured, focused on you as an artist. Explore Artist Development →
Send me your tracks (two-track minimum) and where you feel they're falling short. I'll take a listen and come back to you.

I'm Jon Kong — a producer, songwriter and mix engineer with more than fifteen years in electronic music. For most of that time I've been the studio and engineering force behind Leftwing : Kody, releasing across house and techno on some of the most respected labels in the world.
Along the way I've contributed to records with over 500 million streams, worked with Carl Cox, Anyma, Hot Since 82, Michael Bibi, Patrick Topping, Lost Frequencies, Nelly Furtado, Kelis, Mabel and Solardo, and earned daytime support on BBC Radio 1, Kiss and Capital.
My mixing was shaped under the mentorship of Luca Pretolesi (Drake, Skrillex, Diplo), on a fully analogue setup built for warmth and depth — the same ears and process I now bring to other artists' music.
But the thing I'm known for most isn't making records — it's helping other people finish theirs. Most producers don't need more information; they need clarity. That's become the foundation of everything I do, through Dead Quiet and Expansive Academy.
Residencies at Fabric (London) & Sankeys (Ibiza) · monthly Rinse FM show · ~561k monthly listeners as Leftwing : Kody · championed by Pete Tong, Danny Howard & Monki.
