Do I need to be at a certain level?

Yes — this is for intermediate to advanced producers. You should be comfortable in your DAW, with finished or near-finished ideas you want to take further.

Where do the sessions happen?

Your weekly feedback and monthly planning sessions run over video, wherever you're based. On the 12-month tier we also work together live — you're online with me in real time as I make the decisions.

How much time should I expect to put in?

This is hands-on. You'll get the most from it by dedicating real weekly time to your music between sessions — it's built for committed artists.

Which length is right — 3, 6 or 12 months?

Start with where you are now. The longer we work together, the deeper the scope; we'll find the right fit together on your call.

Jon Kong

I'm Jon Kong — a producer, songwriter and mix engineer with more than fifteen years in electronic music. For most of that time I've been the studio and engineering force behind Leftwing : Kody, releasing across house and techno on some of the most respected labels in the world.

Along the way I've contributed to records with over 500 million streams, worked with Carl Cox, Anyma, Hot Since 82, Michael Bibi, Patrick Topping, Lost Frequencies, Nelly Furtado, Kelis, Mabel and Solardo, and earned daytime support on BBC Radio 1, Kiss and Capital.

My mixing was shaped under the mentorship of Luca Pretolesi (Drake, Skrillex, Diplo), on a fully analogue setup built for warmth and depth — the same ears and process I now bring to other artists' music.

But the thing I'm known for most isn't making records — it's helping other people finish theirs. Most producers don't need more information; they need clarity. That's become the foundation of everything I do, through Dead Quiet and Expansive Academy.
